What areas do you cover?

Rhino Cleaning is based in the St Austell and Truro area of mid-Cornwall, and we can travel further if the job requires.

Question 2

Do I need to be home while you carry out the cleaning?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily. As long as we have safe access to the areas being cleaned, and access to an outside tap, you don't need to be home. We’ll always agree on access and arrangements beforehand.

What is the difference between soft washing and pressure washing?

Soft washing uses low-pressure water combined with specialist cleaning solutions to gently remove dirt, algae, and mildew—perfect for delicate surfaces like roofs and render. Pressure washing uses high-pressure water to blast away grime and is ideal for harder surfaces like driveways and patios.

Will pressure washing damage my driveway or patio?

Accepted Answer

No. We adjust the pressure to suit the surface and use the correct nozzles and techniques to clean effectively without causing harm. 
If you have paving stones with a sand base this can be washed away during cleaning - we will advise this as part of the quote, and include the cost of re-sanding at a later date during dry weather.

How long will it take to clean my driveway/roof/gutters?

Most jobs are completed within a few hours, depending on the size and condition of the area. We’ll give you a clear time estimate when you book.

Are your cleaning solutions safe for pets and plants?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but we ask that you keep pets away while we work. We use biodegradable products and always take care to protect your garden and outdoor spaces during cleaning.

Do you clean solar panels, and does it improve their efficiency?

Yes, we provide safe, non-abrasive solar panel cleaning with a specialist cleaning product. Clean panels can boost energy efficiency by up to 20%, ensuring you get the most from your investment.

How often should I have my gutters cleaned?

We recommend gutter clearance at least twice a year—typically in spring and autumn—to prevent blockages that can cause water damage to your home.

Are you a licenced Waste Carrier?

Yes Rhino Cleaning has a certificate of registration with the Environment Agency under the Waste Regulations 2011, registration number CBDU447394.

What is a Direct Debit mandate and is it safe?

Rhino Cleaning uses a service called GoCardless to manage payment by Direct Debit mandate. This is an agreement between the customer and us that we can invoice for payment direct from your bank account. We will only ever invoice for work completed in line with the quote you have agreed with us. All payments are covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee, which protects customers from payments taken in error. In the case of any incorrect or fraudulent payments, the payer is entitled to a full and immediate refund from their bank.
